Reading
See what you are reading now, keep the next book ready and update progress in the format that fits.
A book club built around your progress
The book club that keeps pace with your reading.
Track the books you are reading, keep thoughtful private notes and join human conversations at the part of the story you have actually reached.
The idea
booKlub connects discussion to reading progress, so you can read at your own pace and still have people ready to talk when a moment matters.
One reading life
The app stays focused on the work readers come back to: the book, the conversation, the thoughts worth keeping and the choices that remain yours.
01
See what you are reading now, keep the next book ready and update progress in the format that fits.
02
Meet readers at your checkpoint and keep later chapters out of the conversation until you reach them.
03
Collect reactions, questions, predictions, quotes, characters and reflections beside the right book.
04
Shape reminders and appearance, manage privacy and account choices, and reach support when needed.
From cover to final reflection
Find books by title, author or ISBN.
Scan a barcode, printed ISBN, title or author with on-device recognition, choose the right edition, or add a book manually when no match exists.
Use chapters, checkpoints, pages, percentage or audiobook time.
Correct progress when needed, set per-book reminders, pause a reading, finish it properly and move straight to what is next.
Save reactions, questions, predictions, quotes, characters, reflections and passage questions.
Quick capture, drafts, replies, editing, search, filters and character records keep each thought attached to the right book and checkpoint.
Use recaps, character lookup, passage help and discussion prompts without jumping ahead.
For ordinary books, assistance draws from what you recorded, your current interpretation and the questions that remain open rather than inventing book facts.
Post, reply and react inside a reading boundary tied to your progress.
Checkpoint filters keep later conversation out of view. Update your progress to unlock the next part, see participants and continue at your own pace.
Explore the sample, add books, track progress and keep private notes locally.
Camera recognition happens on device. You decide whether to attach local reading data after Sign in with Apple and separately whether private journal text may be uploaded.
Private first
Add books, track progress, explore the built-in sample and keep private notes locally. Camera recognition happens on your device.
Social when you choose
Sign in with Apple, age eligibility and current policy acceptance are required before joining live clubs or publishing shared content.
Built-in safety
Shared posts are checked before publication. Readers can hide content, report posts or participants, block people, mute clubs and follow the status of restrictions or appeals.
Coming next
These capabilities are implemented or specified behind release gates. They are not presented as part of the current App Store experience.
Replayable, searchable guidance for every major reading workflow.
Guided chapters will explain real controls, preserve progress between sessions and clearly show prerequisites without changing reading data automatically.
Keep up to five books active with booKlub Plus.
The free experience supports up to three active readings. Plus expands that allowance while keeping the same reading and spoiler-safety model.
Create invite-only spaces for friends and existing reading groups.
Invitation links, ownership controls and the same checkpoint boundaries are implemented behind release gates and will roll out with Plus.
Public club previews
The web directory is rolling out separately from the iPhone app. When approved public records are available, you can browse books and spoiler-safe club previews here.
